NITI Aayog's 'National Strategy on Artificial Intelligence'


National Institute for Transforming India was launched on 1st January 2015, replacing it's 65 years old counterpart 'Planning Commission'. 

NITI Aayog released its 'National Strategy on Artificial Intelligence' on 4 June 2018.  Which focused on areas as-

1) Agriculture- Crop selection and Crop monitoring done with the help of AI system.

2) Health Care- Creating health data repository, National scale clinical decision support system, Self learning system in digital fields like radiology , pathology.

3) Education- Measuring learning outcomes and directed resources in that, Creating courses to enable reskilling in specific sector.

4) Environment- Automated system for controlling pollution level, estimation of non-renewable resources, green cover & endangered species, prediction of meteorological events eg cyclones, floods, natural disasters.

5) National Security- Autonomous surveillance and combat system.

6) Smart Cities & Infrastructure- Effective connectivity for growing urban population.

7) Smart Mobility & Transportation- Smarter & Safer modes of transportation, better traffic & optimized congestion problems.
