“Fix Earth” – Message to Earthlings From Talking Gorilla - KoKo

Hanabiko, nicknamed "Koko" (July 4, 1971 – June 19, 2018) was a female western lowland gorilla born in the San Francisco Zoo.

Who was trained by Stanford University researcher Dr. Penny Patterson born February 13, 1947) was an American animal psychologist. From 1972 onwards, she taught a modified form of American Sign Language, which she called "Gorilla Sign Language" (GSL), to  Koko, to communicate her feelings via basic American Sign Language.

Koko's yearning for a cat, her adoption of ‘All Ball’, and Koko's sadness after the kitten is hit by a car and killed. The Koko's response with death of her pet was signs such as "cry", "sleep" and "cat".( Written by Patterson)

Though Patterson secured male gorillas Michael and Ndume for Koko to mate with, she was not sexually interested in them.

Because the gorillas understand linguistic instructions and questions, able to use standardised intelligence tests to further assess their abilities. 3 Koko's scores on different tests administered between 1972 and 1977 yielded an  average IQ of 80.3.

Koko died in her sleep during the morning of June 19, 2018, at the Gorilla Foundation's preserve in Woodside, California, at the age of 46.

Documentary  “Koko : A talking gorilla” made in 1978 ,telling the extraordinary story of Koko, the only 'talking' gorilla in the world, and her lifelong relationship with Dr. Penny Patterson researcher at Sanford University to communicate her feelings via basic American Sign Language.

“Fix Earth!” Koko deliver this message before death.  Koko was taught over 1,100 ASL signs by her instructor and caregiver Francine Patterson. She also understood more than 2,000 words in the English language and would regularly convey her thoughts and emotions into sign language.

Did Koko ever ask a question?

While apes can learn sign language and communicate using it, they have never attempted to learn new knowledge by asking humans or other apes. They don't seem to realize that other entities can know things they don't.
