Origin of Life on Earth - Panspermia OR Abiogenesis Theories

Panspermia and abiogenesis are both theories related to the origin of life.

Panspermia

Panspermia is the hypothesis that life or the building blocks of life were distributed throughout the universe, potentially by comets, asteroids, or other celestial bodies, potentially leading to the development of life on that planet. 

Panspermia primarily addresses how life might spread or be transported across the universe, rather than the initial origin of life. 

Abiogenesis:

Abiogenesis is the process by which non-living matter evolved into living organism, through a gradual process of chemical reactions and self-organization. 

Abiogenesis is primarily concerned with the origin of life on Earth itself, explaining how it emerged from non-living substances.
